Cheers to Lent! Every year tons of Omahans flock to Catholic churches around the metro for a fun Friday evening at a fish fry. Even in the Midwest, you can find a delicious fried fish dinner. You can find tons of fish fries in Omaha every Friday during Lent. Here you can find some delicious churches serving up fried walleye, pollock, catfish or cod. Others feature shrimp, French fries, macaroni and cheese and coleslaw.
There are so many great fish fries in Omaha, but we wanted to name off a couple of our favorites.

Best Fish Fries Around Omaha | CBSHOME
Elkhorn St. Patrick’s Men’s Club
Where: 20500 W. Maple Rd.

Cost: $5-$10
Why: They have delicious mac and cheese that is to die for and a fun bar area with beer, margaritas and soda. There are also fun activities to keep the kids occupied while you enjoy yourself!
Where: 2901 Fontenelle Blvd.

Cost: $6-$11
Why: Holy Name is where the party is at on Fridays during Lent. Prepare a large cooler with beverages and get ready to stand in line with friends for a great fish dinner. If you’re looking for an upbeat and fun fry, this is the one for you!

Why: Their menu is insanely delicious. We’re talking calamari, bang bang shrimp, baklava and more! There is also beer and wine available for your enjoyment.
Croatian Cultural Society of Omaha
Where: 8711 S. 36th St.
When: 4:30 pm – 7:30 pm
Cost: $5-$9
Why: This fry has been around for 30 years and is killing it. They serve large portions of delicious food and are quick, though you’ll want to stay a while! They have a full bar, raffles with prizes and pickle cards. They accept credit cards and are available for carry out meals. Be sure to add this one to your map this year!

When: 5:00 pm-8:00 pm
Cost: $6-$9
Why: MOQ offers $8 pitchers of beer and multiple beer stands throughout the line. They also boast better food like spudsters, mac and cheese and dessert. They also offer a drive through!

Cost: $5-$8.50
Why: They have best Cajun fried fish and so many other food options! Dessert and beer are sold separately, and food is available for take-out orders at the Larimore Street entrance.
The Salvation Army Omaha Kroc Center
