Today is National Beer Day so we are re-visiting our favorite breweries in the metro. Omaha is in the midst of a craft beer movement, which means we are blessed with multiple local breweries right here in the heart of our city. Thinking about making your own beer? Visit Cornhusker Beverage & Bridal for all the necessary equipment!
- Lucky Bucket Brewing Company
One of the more famous Omaha breweries, Lucky Bucket has serving up pre-prohibition style beer since 2008. You can stop by their tap room in La Vista and sample an ice-cold beer or even take a tour of the brewery. Check their website for any events they have going on, they often have fun parties and events happening.
- Brickway Brewery & Distillery
Nestled in the Old Market, Brickway has quickly become a favorite local beer. You can find them on tap at several Omaha restaurants and for sale in multiple grocery stores. Stop by their brewery downtown and sample a flight of their beers to find out which one is your favorite.
- Farnam House Brewing Company
Farnam House has hit its stride as a local microbrewery in Omaha. Not only do they offer some delicious craft beer in their brewery, they also have a full restaurant kitchen. Before opening, the two master brewers traveled to multiple countries in Europe to get the beer-making technique down, so go and see for yourself if they have mastered it.
- Nebraska Brewing Company
An award-winning brewery that almost all Nebraskans know about is Nebraska Brewing Company. With multiple locations (a tap room and a restaurant), this brewery is hard to miss! Their beer is being blanketed across the metro in restaurants, liquor shops and grocery stores. Stop by their tap room and get a fun tour of their brewery!
